Hello: I just moved to a studio apartment in the beautiful District of Columbia – and between moving and having a still-being-renovated kitchen I haven’t been doing a whole lot of cooking or writing or photography.
I’m hoping to start including lots of photos of DC as well as write-ups of its more interesting eating establishments, as I explore them.
For now, though: a cool wrap with plenty of protein for a languid summer day:
It’s a Wrap
For two people:
2 flour tortillas
Half an avocado, sliced
Half a fresh tomato, sliced
2 round slices of fresh mozzarella, cut into strips
4 slices of turkey
A handful of arugula or fresh greens
Salt and pepper
Layer the avocado, tomato, mozzarella, turkey, and greens in the wrap. Dot with just a bit of lemon juice, season with salt and pepper to taste, wrap it up and eat.
