There are Oliva devotees who will disagree, but Garo’s Armenian restaurant has hands down the best pizza I’ve had since leaving the U.S. in June.

The only reason it took me so long to get around to it was the plethora of excellent sandwich choices on the menu, which I’ve been snacking on for months. The expertly spiced meat combinations – Habrat Samak, Sujuk, Toshka, Armenian pastrami – took a while to test out and they’re all superb. The pizza, with plenty of the meats above as well as delightful surprises like broccoli and a pretty spectacular crispy crust, makes this my new favorite.
